- Head Men's Basketball Coach
Bio
Colin Doss joins Toccoa Falls after establishing himself as one of the rising young coaches in collegiate and high school basketball. A back-to-back Coach of the Year recipient, Doss brings a proven track record of building successful programs, developing student-athletes, and leading with excellence both on and off the court.
Most recently, Doss served as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Murray High School in Kentucky. In his lone season, he orchestrated one of the most impressive turnarounds in the state, inheriting a program that had won just nine games the previous year and leading the Tigers to a 21-win season. Under his leadership, Murray became one of Kentucky’s highest-scoring teams while playing one of the fastest tempos in the state. Following the remarkable season, Doss was named the 2026 Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches (KABC) Region Coach of the Year.
Before his time at Murray High School, Doss served as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at John Melvin College in Pensacola Beach, Florida, where he was tasked with launching the institution’s men’s basketball program from the ground up. As one of the youngest collegiate head coaches in the country, he guided the program to an outstanding 25-6 overall record in its inaugural season and a #10 finish in the national rankings.
His teams quickly became known for their exciting, high-powered style of play, leading the USCAA in scoring at 96 points per game while also finishing first nationally in offensive efficiency, pace of play, three-pointers made, and three-point percentage. For his efforts, Doss was named the 2025 New South Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and earned a nomination for the 2025 USCAA National Coach of the Year Award, becoming the youngest coach in conference history to receive the honor. Success under Doss extended well beyond basketball. His inaugural team finished with a 3.4 cumulative GPA, while nine student-athletes earned All-Conference Academic honors, reflecting his commitment to developing young men academically, athletically, and spiritually.
Internationally, Doss has served as the Head Coach of PHD Team USA since 2023, leading select teams of American student-athletes in the United World Games throughout Europe. Under his leadership, Team USA has compiled a 21-4 overall record while competing in Germany, Austria, and Italy. His teams have captured the 2023 Gold Medal and consecutive Silver Medals in 2025 and 2026, earning victories over national teams representing Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Turkey, Germany, and several other countries.
Doss began his collegiate coaching career at Brescia University, an NAIA program in Owensboro, Kentucky, where he served as the Head Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. During his time with the Bearcats, he played a significant role in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, player development, scouting, game preparation, academics, and basketball operations. Alongside his collegiate coaching career, Doss founded Kentucky Supreme, one of the premier AAU basketball organizations in Kentucky. Through the program, he helped more than 20 student-athletes earn opportunities to continue their basketball careers at the collegiate level.
Known for his passion for player development, relentless competitiveness, and commitment to Christian mentorship, Doss arrives at Toccoa Falls eager to build a championship culture that reflects the institution’s mission of developing students both on the court and in their walk with Christ.
