Bio

Josh Taylor is originally from Chattanooga, TN and most recently served as the College Director and 2023 Head Coach for 5 Star Midsouth National baseball organization in Nashville, TN. He received his B.S. in Physical Education with a Recreation Emphasis from Lee University, graduating in 2019. He was on the baseball coaching staff for three seasons at Lee University. He met his wife (India) at Lee, and they were married in August of 2020. Before Lee University Coach Taylor served as an assistant coach at Roane State Community College.

In Taylor 3 years of being Head coach at Toccoa Falls he has had 17 players named to all regional 1st and 2nd team and has has 5 players named to 1st, 2nd, or Freshman All Americans teams. Taylor has also guided Toccoa Falls to two back to back years with top 5 offensive in the country batting .323. and .329 in 2023 and 24 seasons. While setting an impressive record of 61 homeruns during the 2023 season. 

When asked what he is most excited about when looking forward to serving at TFC, Josh says, “I’m excited to get started with this great group of men. I am looking forward to bringing a vision of growth and success to this program, and I am grateful for this opportunity.” His continuous diligence and discipline will contribute greatly to TFC athletics as steps into the Head Baseball Coach role.
