Screaming Eagles Secure Comeback Victory Over Clinton College, Next Up Regionals

The Toccoa Falls Men's Basketball team closed out their season with a thrilling 70-67 comeback victory against NCCAA DI Clinton College, overcoming a 12-point deficit in the second half. The Screaming Eagles won both times that we faced them this season, completing a 2-0 season sweep.

Junior Will Gray-Watson led the team with an impressive performance, scoring 24 points while adding 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Junior Tyriq Brown contributed significantly with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals, demonstrating his defensive skills. Meanwhile, junior Jeremiah Williams recorded a dominant double-double, finishing with 15 points and 13 rebounds—12 of them defensive—4 assists and 4 blocks, proving to be a key player on both ends of the floor.

With this victory, the Screaming Eagles concluded the season with a 12-11 record, riding an impressive six-game winning streak. The team's defensive efforts have been a cornerstone of their success, as they currently rank #3 in defense with an average of 71.5 defensive points per game.

Next up, The Screaming Eagles are headed to Regionals from February 27th to March 1st, which will be hosted by Bob Jones University. The Eagles look to carry their momentum into the tournament and continue their strong defensive play.
