Screaming Eagles Fall Short vs. Truett-McConnell

The Screaming Eagles fell to Truett McConnell 8-9 despite a late comeback scoring seven runs in the final two innings. The Screaming Eagles got off to a slow start in their first midweek of the season, allowing the Bears to score eight runs in the first three innings. Even though the Screaming Eagles got off to a slow start, they made the game close in the final few innings and fought until the end.

Offensively, the Screaming Eagles were led by Charlie Compton and Isaac Reivitis, who both collected two hits and two RBI’s. Following them, Ryan McCarron, and Chathan Clouatre, who both collected two hits and one RBI each. Hunter Martin and Peyton Powell both collected an RBI in the game as well. On the pitching side, Joshua Ramey, Carter Thomas, and Hampton Mamay all provided quality innings of relief to keep the Screaming Eagles in the game. The Eagles were unable to scrap up enough points to tie the game despite a late offensive effort.
