Game 1 Recap=

Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles came up just short in a tough 5-4 loss to Alice Lloyd College on Friday, with the game ending on the final play. Despite the result, the Screagles showed resilience and fight all the way through.

After falling behind early, Toccoa Falls never backed down. The biggest moment came in the top of the seventh when Will Miller delivered a clutch RBI single to tie the game at 4-4, capping off a strong comeback and showing the team’s ability to perform under pressure.

Miller also led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 and setting the tone at the top of the lineup. Hayden Scott provided a big boost in the middle of the order, driving in two runs and continuing to be a key contributor offensively.

On the mound, Hunter Tatum gave the Screagles a solid effort out of the bullpen, going 4.1 innings and allowing just one run while keeping the game within reach. His performance helped give Toccoa Falls the chance to battle back late.

McCarron and Bricen Blankenship each drove in a run, helping Toccoa Falls stay competitive throughout the game.

On the mound, Ayden Garmon delivered a strong outing, going five innings while striking out seven. He showed good command at times and kept the Screagles in the game against a tough lineup.

The Screagles swung the bats well all game, out-hitting Alice Lloyd 7-5 and consistently putting pressure on the defense. Peyton Powell led the way with two hits, continuing to be a key piece in the lineup and setting the tone offensively.

At the plate, Toccoa Falls showed strong approaches and competitive at-bats, staying in the game and creating opportunities throughout. Bricen Blankenship added an RBI, helping the Screagles get on the board and keep things within reach.

On the mound, Drew Ellsworth delivered a solid outing, going 5.2 innings while striking out four. He battled through adversity and kept the team in position to compete deep into the game.

Despite the 5-2 result, the Screagles showed fight, strong hitting, and resilience—building momentum as they head into the next game of the series.

Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles picked up a strong 5-0 win over Alice Lloyd College on Saturday, putting together a complete performance on both sides of the ball.

The Screagles got things going in the fifth inning when Bryant Rushing came through with a clutch RBI double to open the scoring. From there, the offense stayed consistent, finishing with nine total hits and keeping pressure on all game.

Rushing, Will Roberson, and Ryan McCarron each collected two hits, leading a balanced offensive attack. Conner Merritt also made a big impact, driving in two runs and producing in key moments.

On the mound, Carson Fuchs was dominant, throwing five shutout innings while allowing just four hits and striking out five. He set the tone early and kept Alice Lloyd from finding any rhythm at the plate. Josh Ramey followed with two scoreless innings in relief, striking out three and shutting the door to secure the win.
