Toccoa Falls, Georgia—The Women's Soccer team hosted Florida College on Tuesday night in a non-conference matchup.
The Screaming Eagles were coming off of a disappointing 1-0 loss against Johnson University in which they out-possessed and out-shot the Royals, but were never able to capitalize with a goal.
The Florida College Falcons had the Screaming Eagles on their heels quickly with a goal in the third minute of play. The Falcons were able to score again before the end of the first half to bring the score to 0-2.
The Screaming Eagles came out of halftime possessing the ball and creating several scoring opportunities. Unfortunately, while they held the Falcons to zero goals in the second half, they were also not able to capitalize for themselves. The game ended in a 0-2 loss for the Screaming Eagles.
Head Coach Kaelyn Watson was pleased overall with her team's performance in the last three games. She stated, "We might not have gotten the results on the scoreboard that we wanted in our first three games, but I am glad to see us improving each time we have taken the field. We have a lot of potential as a team!"
The Screaming Eagles have a week off before traveling to play LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA on September 6th.
